Workshop "Mathematics and Machines: Navigating the Transition from Brown to Sustainable Finance”

The workshop will bring together experts and early-career researchers from academia and industry to discuss topics at the intersection of Algorithmic Trading, Sustainable and Green Finance, Machine Learning and Stochastic Control, and FinTech. In line with the Lorentz Center’s mission, the workshop emphasizes interaction, discussion, and collaboration rather than solely the presentation of research. We envision the mornings being dedicated to presentations and mini-courses by both academic and industry speakers, while the afternoons will feature discussion sessions, panel debates, and parallel working groups. The program will also include an industry-focused half-day, informal networking opportunities, and dedicated time for developing new collaborative ideas.
